I was wondering if a company does not allow you to post on other sites before they get the affidavit back and make it official? A good example is Combos recent sweepstakes.

There are some sweepstakes that state that you cannot tell anyone of being a winner and the prize won until they release the information themselves. They don't state you can't post on sites; they simply state you cannot announce it publicly which encompasses everything.

On one grand prize I won, creating a new ice cream flavor and name, I am not allowed to publicly state what the ice cream ingredients are and the name of it until a time, if and when it happens, they market it.

I won two larger prizes and each was different, I won a sony vaio laptop from someone who I can not say who to this day, but they did release it, but I am not allowed to publicly say even yet over a year later, then I won an 18ft trition base boat valued at $29,000 and they did not care when and who I told, even incouraged me to spread the word, won that from Lets go fishing.com, was suppose to get smaller boat but the sponser donating the 19,000 boat did not donate it in the end so Trition came forward with the super nice boat, they are so great and I still advertise for them and Lets go fishing and of corse the best sweep site in the whole world, SAplus the place to win :headbang:
