Who's running the conventions

It's a bit strange to me that the people who run these conventions post and repost about it at ZZZ but not here. This site has 126,500 members and growing at a steady rate. Haven't they noticed?

Of course, they have. That's why they've been creating numerous phony member accounts in order to keep their membership count higher than SA. I highly doubt they have as many members as here right now.

As for posting about the convention here, in the past, a member there could be bannished simply for being a member here. Now, they simply call them out and bash them for posting over here. That's why you've seen some go back never to return--they've got members under their thumb over there.

As the economy takes a hit, more people will want to enter from here and other free sites, as ALL of the sweeps they charge members to see are available for free. I would rather not have another recurring charge in my life, thanks a bunch.

I don't know about the phony accounts as I have no info on the topic, but it seems to me that people are afraid to move on out of fear they're missing out on sweeps (read the above).

As for the convention, I'd love to go to one that I can drive to. Airfare, hotel and entry fees are just too high when I have a house to fix up.

There's several people who have been watching it happen. If you're there at the right time when they're doing it. You can see it where it says something like "newest member". You'll see one come in after another (too quick to be realistic). They will even use same usernames with one slight variation. After they're created, the so-called new member shows up with no activity on the site and never returns after signing up.

I would still contact the official convention folk and request that SA be allowed to post about the conventions and such...just like at ZZZ or anyplace else. After all, it's a "national" sweeps convention, not a sweeps site controlled convention. I see no reason why SA doesn't simply get the information and post it here, in it's own thread, so that we at SA can decide whether to attend or not.

Is SA going to let ZZZ dictate and control a national sweeps convention?
 
YEAH, we do have a convention thread! :headbang: This was once part of it! Well, until the topic veered off the convention and I split it so that the convention info was in its own thread and this stuff could be here on its own! :headbang:
