Why is this happening?

I have been on SA for well over a year and never had issues but lately (the past 3 days) When I click on a sweepstake that has been saved under "My Sweeps" and enter it and then return to click on the next one my computer freezes. I can easily go to other areas like formus & news but once I click on a sweep, the next thing I click on won't open, it just stays outlined and freezes??? I'm so frustrated. My computer is old but I haven't had problems with freezing on any other sites I go to??? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. :scratch:

one side effect of overheating is freezing up , you may want to open your case up and insure all your fans are running especially your CPU fan.

Looks like this ..

if that isn't the case check what programs you have running in the background. If you have a lot of tabs open at one time it could be consuming all your memory.

I have been having trouble with my computer freezing in firefox...it doesn't do it as often in IE, but sweeping is easier in firefox...so you have to weigh the options there...

I am on here in IE now because I'm not sweeping just looking at the forums and not having any problems at all...just a thought though

My computer freezes up all the time here ... and you could eat off the cpu fan ...

Nice thought, but I'm not buying it. Hmmm, graphics ... tracking ads ... older systems ... just a thought :crazytongue:
