Won "ANY 2012 G Adventures YOLO Trip of My Choice!"
Confirmed yesterday I had won the Travel CUTS "We Love Changing People's Lives" contest and the prize is ANY 2012 "G Adventures" (formerly Gap Adventures) YOLO trip of my choice (ARV $1999, The experience? Priceless).

I actually stumbled across this contest mere hours before it closed and was fortunate enough to have my entry judged as one of the top 5 submissions to be voted on. The very short 4 days voting period was intense - after day 1 I was behind by about 20 votes, but 2 days later, with only 9 hours left to go, my support had shot up to the point where I was leading by over 140 votes. The entire contest was over and done in about 2-3 weeks.
This win proves that winning Facebook contests (and writing competitions in general) is possible; this is actually my 2nd decent Facebook win (not including small token prizes <$100) over the last few weeks - in Early November I won a newest generation 32 Gb iPod Touch + AppleCare package (ARV ~$400) as one of the weekly prize winner in the Tillman's Toasty Get Stuff'd Contest, I gave that to my sister since I already use an iPhone.
I had only started entering contests since October 2011, so these are definitely a good start.
Now the hard choice is deciding when and where I want to go - I tentatively narrowed my top 3 choices to Southeast Asia (specifically a trip that includes Cambodia), Morocco, or Bolivia/Chile... suggestions anyone? :scratch:
