wow! Im an Idiot~update~ picture

Re: wow! Im an Idiot

 I think I would be hesitant to use something with some much acid as vinegar, it may fade it to a bright orange! Call the beauty shop and see what they would recommend. Don't try any home experiment and make it worse.

 That's unlikely. I'm trying to think.. what would be worse? bald.. no.... orange hair... that would be an improvement... hair catching on fire...hmmmm, oh wait.. it looks like that already.

Re: wow! Im an Idiot

LMAO!! I didn't consider the orange job it might end up being! Oh gawd! Don't ever take ANY of my advice :booty"

"Hair catching on fire" *me snickering* Again...maybe it's time for that overdue drink

Re: wow! Im an Idiot

LOL, I dye my own hair (millions of times!) and have had my share of hair color blunders, lol. If you can hold off to save some $$ put your hair back in a pony tail under a hat. I am kinda obsessed with dying my hair, have been this way since a teenager.

I actually like it too, Trace!! It's hard to say whether I liked the before hair color better, but I really like it, hun!!

It sorta does look like it's on fire

Oh I almost forgot. I wore my daughters cap to walgreens.. AFI~~( A fire inside).

That is amazing...what a difference! Glad you are happier with it! Congrats...I still like the red also ~ makes you stand out!

The deep red is unique and the wash out looks good too. I think they both looked good on you.

Yay! :thewave: It looks nice, like a strawberry blonde with a few blonde streaks here and there - very natural looking! :sunny:

Glad you could get the color oops without having to order it and wait, like I did! I am soooooo impatient when I have made up my mind on something!!

Oh, and I think I know exactly what brand that color is, they changed the name from when I used it, but it is from Herbal Essences, right?

It's a funny coincidence, I actually had my hair that color for a long time, I liked it but, I have medical problems and needed to stop using dye. Did a ton of research because I was afraid like you were of turning it a really strange color. I found that color oops, and I really like the fact that not only does it work, but it isn't tested on animals, and it is made in the USA!

I can't remember if there is a website listed on the box, but if there is, you should send them your before & after pics!

I guess I am just crazy (ok now, be nice :nono: )

In my life my hair has been-
Green
Purple
Red
Black
Orange
Plum
Bugandy
Brown
Auburn

The list goes on, lol. I love to change my hair color choice everytime I dye it. Drives people nuts but, I try to have fun. Now, I haven't done the greens, blues, oranges since before I was married. I tend to stick to more plums, burgandy, browns, slightly reds, etc. now. Sad thing is I have natural brown hair with red highlights so the red shades always comes through no matter what I dye it after a few days.

You won't catch any flak from me on that one Miki, I have had some wild hair colors, too. I would have to say the most unusual was when I went cotton candy pink!

That was back when glam metal was all the rage. Cotton candy pink hair and massive black eyeliner appled with a shovel!

I know exactly where you are coming from about wanting to switch it up frequently. I get really bored rocking the same look for any long stretch of time. I kept that blood red color probably for the longest time out of any color I have tried because hubby really liked it. :headbang:

 yep!!! The color on the box was so pretty and I thought It would look nice. My hair tends to look dreary ya know. Im lovin dreary now. anyway, my husband asked after I colored it honey, did you see what it was called? no, I just liked the color. The name of it was Paint the town. duh!!. Thank god my husband already loves me.

Ditto that!!

You went from rebel red to girl-next-door strawberry blond. I like them both but I can see you being more comfortable with the new color.

You have such long, pretty hair!

:3some: I agree that they both looked fine to me, but am happy that you have a color you like. It's great that members here can almost always come up with a solution to any task that we need advise on. Way to go celticbiker!

 I like your hair both ways, but I can see how you might feel uncomfortable
with the darker red, even though it is pretty, I could never carry it off, but I've been
strawberry blonde before, along with

brown, blonde, red, green, flourescent yellow

I've had disasters where I've colored over my hair 3 times in a week

When my hair comes out like yours and I want it less red I usually color it over
with light ash brown to tone it down, from Revlon colorsilk or Clairol nice and easy

That wouldn't work with the Dark red so what Celticbikerbabe reccommended was good!!
