"You've already entered"

...."this sweepstake today"....

I have gotten this messege 3x today when I'm going in to enter certain sweeps... and I haven't yet I just opened up the page and went to enter and that's what 3 of them have said.... It's quite annoying actually...

I don't write down the exact time each day I enter sweeps, I just enter when I can... wth!!

Does anyone really do that??? So now I'm down a day on those sweeps that said that I already entered today when in all actuality, I didn't I just didn't enter at the same time I did yesterday.... Thanks alot time keeper!! :cussing:

I think some of the sweeps are more time conscious than the others. The Transitions sweeps tells me this often. I didn't even try to enter it yesterday but when I tried today it told me I had already entered. :cussing: I just move on and think today is NOT my day. LOL

Glad you asked because when I am entering dailies and that happens, I think I will finish my sweeps and then return to those problems and try to figure it out...but I'm either too busy, tired or forget exactly which ones!

I usually don't clear all cookies daily, so I thought that could be why, but it would depend on the sweep.

Sometimes I get the message from WarnerBrothers, Lifetime, and a few others. I really need to make an effort to investigate each case. There is probably a different answer for each one, and not necessarily a 24-hour one.

I'll look into my problems. (If I remember. :))

:laughing: That's exactly what I do with Wyndham.


The Transitions instant win is a one-entry, unlike most IWs, and unlike their previous IWs.

When I go through my daily's each day and hit those sweepstakes that are literally one entry every 24 hours, I just skip them for the day if I get to them before 24 hours is up.

that's what i do, i just skip them for the day and get back to it the next day. that happens with Instant wins, some of them are on 24 hr. entry, and if you enter it the next day too early, it will tell you "you've already entered today." i just pass on them that particular day and enter them the next.

I've found that many of the 'daily' are actually '24 hour' in disguise.
This is where Sweeps Plus really works for me. I put them in my personal '24 hour' folder with the with the other '24 hour' ones; then enter them all at once, recording what time I entered them all. I've found that if you enter in the same hour or later the next day, they all go through.

I'm adding the "TourismWhistler.Com - Share Whistler with a Friend Contest" to my 24-hour list. Although the rules say, "Once registered, entrants may visit the site each day during the Contest Period and enter their email address for an additional entry towards the grand prize draw," it seems to be a 24-hour entry. I used to skip this type of entry and catch them every other day, but with Sweeps Plus I can now move them to where I will enter them daily.

There are also a few DVD and occasional CD sweeps that I also toss into my 24-hour list. It's fun! :sunny:

Then there are the ones that state once per 24-hour day period. Meaning, they run midnight to midnight. I'd rather see these just labeled "Daily" since that is what they actually are. I don't care about missing the actual 24-hour ones a day here and there, because I just don't have the time to go back to them. Plus, unless you actually enter them at the exact time everyday, they're always going to get more and more off time-wise. :sleepy:

Well we are all from different states so there are time differences... so if I'm entering at 6pm my time (California)... it is really 9pm New York time..... That screws me up when I go to enter certain sweeps that seem to be keeping their clocks at east coast time... like the HGTV sweep on the last day for entry... I always have to hurry up and enter that one before 5pm east coast time becuase when i try to enter it at 5pm Cali time, the sweepstake is already closed... not fair in my opinion

:headbang: You said it. It makes keeping track of these things so much easier. I also use the personal note section to record the last date and time I entered. That way, I can make sure 24 hours has past.

Great tips in this thread.

I just wanted to throw this out there. I've been running cleanup.exe for years and I LOVE IT! It's a registry cleaner, clears the cache etc. I run it everyday, not only does my computer never slow down, but I never have problems with "you've already entered" on a sweepstakes entry. Give it a try, I wouldn't steer you wrong!

This makes me laugh...but make sure your speakers aren't all the way up!! It makes a toilet flushing sound everytime you run it. lol
