Subway Coupons are NOT Being Accepted

Has anyone tried using the free movie tix yet? I won one of them earlier this week and wonder if the same thing will happen to them?! Thanks

Just so you know you DON'T have to use the ticket to see Get Smart. It can be used for ANY movie. Just so you know......

So when a store won’t honor your ‘prize’ do you write to the company and complain?
I think I would do that . . . . . just in case they didn’t know . . . just in case they might care.

Franchises have the right to NOT honor coupons. In many businesses, they are not paid by the company, they are required to lose the profit.

Good example: if you get a free coupon from a district manager from McDonalds, the franchises has to cover it and Mcdonalds corp does not reemburse them. There was a District manager who use to give them out like water in one area. Many of the local stores stopped honoring them. can they do that? Yep.

You can complain but the company will tell you that the franchises owners have the right to NOT honor them nor even accept them.

But these franchises had ads/signs for the sweep in their store. They were acknowledging the sweep so they should have honored the coupons.

They are often required to put up things in the window.

Franchises are very different than independent businesses.

Having things in the windows are rqeuired. They can not require to take coupons.

There have been a few lawsuits against companies and companies always lose.

Well then that's just BS, gorgor. The franchise Subway shouldn't put up anything pertaining to that sweep if they don't plan on honoring it. They should have(even if it's in small print) that that particular store will not be honoring those particular coupons. It's kinda like false advertisement. Nothing to sue over, but frustrating nonetheless. Mother used to run a store that was company and is now franchise. She will honor ALL coupons in order to make more money for the store and the owners are more than OK with that. But then again, the owners own Pizza Hut, Taco bell, and KFC in our small town so I'm sure their gain is more than their loss if there's even a loss to be lost.

Hope that made sense

Here in Chicago, almost no place accepts any coupons that are downloaded from a pc, so I don't know why these companies keep having you print out the stupid coupons and wasting your ink. I wrote a couple of companies to complain about it, and a few sent me regular coupons through the mail. I know here in Chicago, also, most of our franchises are owned by immigrants that I have a hard time understanding, but I don't think it's not that they don't understand you, they just don't want to honor the coupons and give up a few cents, very annoying. Do any other states have stores that don't accept coupons printed online? Just curious.

Thanks, and good luck to all!

Tizzy, I cannot find stores that accept printed coupons here.

About the subway coupons, I emailed subway and they sent the email to eprize which in turn sent me a generic response saying they cannot mail the coupons and the coupons are being accepted, blah blah....and told me to print the email and take it in. Hello?! IF they won't accept them what is the point of trying again?

I did same exact thing – got same response.
What a waste of my time.

I haven't tried my coupons but I have a feeling from other people's responses that they wouldn't work. I don't want to try knowing there is a good chance they won't accept them and may think I'm trying to scam them or something.

I almost wish I could complain to the better business bureau however I'm sure in the rules it says they are under no obligation to fulfill. *sigh*

Ingles and Publix won't here in GA. None of our local convenience store honor any coupons EXCEPT cigarette mfg. coupons! :cussing:

They could have just mailed postcards like the KFC sandwich sweep. I got more than a dozen of those, and had no problem using them. I don't think they're serious about giving away the chips.

The cost of mailing all of those coupons would end up being as much as the chips cost. I never use any of these printed out coupons because it looks like some cheap copy.

just to let everyone know I wrote a "strongly worded letter" to eprizefullfillment about my movie ticket not being accepted--told them its pretty disappointing to get a "win" that ends up causing me to spend money I wasnt planning on spending, and to find out my win was "declined"....got a cheesy unhelpful reply from THEM, but I also got an email from someone else from Hollywood movie money who told me that if I will mail her my certificate and the movie stubs that I had to pay for, she would "make it right for me" Ill let you know what that ends up meaning, but I just thought I would tell you what I did, if anyone else wants to make some noise...start with emailing eprize and see if you get the same reply.

The whole promotion was the pits, and I stopped entering when I "won" the movie tickets. The animations were freezing up my computer in addition to the prizing problems.

I won the ticket and gave it to tiff. She didnt have any problems with it.

Yeah I stopped playing also. To much of a PITA for me.

My husband and I both won the Subway movie ticket. We used the first one to see Get Smart and used the second one to see Incredible Hulk. The pc printed tickets were excepted both times @ the ticket booth. Although, the clerk did comment on the amount of these tickets that were coming in and wasn't really sure how to process them. Hubby and I also won two Mamma Mia tickets. We will be going to movies once again!

Best of Luck to all!
