Anyone do heels?

I love the really cute heels women are wearing this Spring. Not the pointy, hideous heels some wear with jeans, and not stripper heels, but the cute low-heels that go great with a short skirt, summer dress, or cute shorts.

My problem is I am 5'10". I'm wondering if I can pull off a low-heel without looking like an ape. I also am not a heel wearer so I'm also wondering if I can pull it off without looking like a clumsy ape.

I also don't know if I should buy a strappy one or a non-strappy one.

I hate the ballerina flats or I'd just go with those.

you are 5 10? wow. That must be nice. I wish I had some advice but If its not tennis shoes I aint wearing it. :laughing: Both of the shoes are cute and im sure you would look great in either one. You arent gonna look like an ape. Most women would love to be that tall. I always wanted to be a midget. not sure why.

I like the strappy they look great, I wonder if they make a low profile heel that gives the illusion of the heel? of coarse this is from a guy's perspective :crazytongue:

I hear you look very good in them too! :laughing:

I'm tall, so I don't touch heels. Plus, they hurt my feet to walk in them; and there's no way I'll give up comfortable shoes!

This is about as high as I might go:

I loveeee heels... go with the gold one... that one is nice... i also like the low heal to go with a cute summer dress or wrap skirt.... nice picks.....

@ 5'10 in heels you will be better of 6' which puts you into model height :popcorn: :meninblack:
 
:sunny: If you aren't use to wearing heels, go with a lower heel to start. I don't like the pointy toed shoes either. I don't think most people look at a tall woman as anything but beautiful, so if you want to carry off the look, be proud of who you are and strut your stuff proud and tall! Practice wearing them around the house an hour at a time before wearing them out.

I'm not one to agonize over "girl" stuff like this. My wardrobe pretty much consists of sports-oriented clothes. My shoe collection resembles my hubby's...sneakers, flops, sport sandals, etc. Hell, so does my wardrobe now that i think about it :scratch:

Anyways, I'm going to do some shopping and buy some "girly" things. Besides my undergarments, I have one "girly" shirt and one pair of "girly" shorts. Isn't that sad?! :laughing:

I do heels and love both of the ones you picked out. I'm 5'4 and like a 3-4" heel but I always try them on first and WALK around for about 15 minutes in them to make sure they don't pinch. I also have a high arch and most arches don't go high enough for me so I use FOOT PETALS. They stick to your shoes in different areas to add height to arches, pad the back of the shoe on your heel and also can stick to the bottom to keep your shoe from slipping on floors. My fiance is 6'3 and loves girly heels and I need them around him...lol
Who knows, maybe hubby will like them so much on you he will give you a night to remember. How tall is he? Let us know which shoes you pick out, we would love to see.......... :sunny:

I also don't do ballerina or pointy toed shoes.......ugh!

I love heels, but since I have gained weight I just can't carry it off anymore! I hate those pointy toe roach killers :laughing: I love the strappy look though...I have several pairs of sandels that have straps for just causal around the house and town stuff...now I just need a pedi ~ j/k ~never had a mani or a pedi and don't see myself starting now! My feet are so dry I could start a forest fire :crazytongue:

Hubby is 6'7". I haven't worn anything with even the slightest heel since our youngest was born and that was to a funeral!

Pointy toe roach killers!!! LMFAO!!!!!!
