Have you ever just had one of those mornings that you wanted to scream??? Well, I am there my friends!!! Ashelyn and I worked hard last night finishing up her 4-H demo that she had to do last night. She had to fix it, but I had use the hot glue gun to put things on the poster and find stuff for her to pack it to school in. Well, because she had so much stuff she had to pack this morning I decided to take her to school ~ I am worried that I will forget something of hers and I go off and forget my cellphone. Usually not a big deal, right?

Anyway, I get to the school and when she gets out I am thinking that maybe, just maybe I smell anti-freeze. I make it most of the way home before the temp hand starts to rise and I pull over. I am, of course, in my PJ's when I realize that my cellphone is at home on my desk. I am just stuck on the side of the road. I sat there for 40 minutes ~ I am less than a mile away from home. So finally I decide to see if the van has cooled back down ~ it has ~ so I drive the rest of the way home. When I tell my husband that I drove that van home after it had been hot ... :cussing: ...that is an understatement for how he looked.

Thank goodness it doesn't look like I messed anything up. The fan motor broke off and a piece of it flew into my radiator poking a hole in it which caused the anti-freeze to drain out. Now we are looking at another $300 - $400 for Jimmie to fix it. Thank goodness he can though ~ there is no telling what a garage would charge!!

I think I am going back to bed

Im sorry. yep, that would put me a bad mood too. The kids have school today? I wish mine did. Im glad ya didnt mess anything up on it. whatcha gonna do. ya had to get home right. I can see ya in your pj's.

Yeah ~ they are making up tornado and snow days ~ the state said the only way that we wouldn't have to make up the days is if we missed 20 or more. So off they go...

Yeah me and my pj's ...and let's not forget ~ barefooted to boot! :nono:

I am so sorry to hear about your morning and van. I blew up my car about 200 miles from home, well I messed up the radiator and such and it was hard getting it back home.

I hope the repairs don't cost as much as estimated and I hope you have a better morning. My kids are in school too btw, they don't celebrate presidents days here. That bothers me to no end, the only day they get off is MLK day and I feel this is not right at all. They should honor all of them, not just one person.

Anyhoo big ((((Hugs)))) to you.

 So sorry to hear your day started off so crappy, especially since you haven't been feeling well. I guess the bright side is that after your morning the rest of the day should be a piece of cake!

Sorry to hear about your bad morning. I had a bad start also with an explosion of the refinery 5 miles away scaring me half to death. Hope both of our days get better! :sunny:

Our school system takes off every other year between President's Day and MLK b-day. Our schools WERE open today but everyone got sent home due to the explosion.

It's always something! Not the same something, just something unexpected.

Hope you ladies do something nice for yourselves today, and here's wishing that the next unexpected something will be something good. :)

I saw that on the news ~ that would be scary! Hope everyone is okay!

I did exactly like I said ~ I went back to bed  I just was mentally beat ~ Jimmie was mad at me, and I thought I might as well forget it for today! I slept until it was time for me to go pick up Ashelyn from school. When I get there, I have my regulars that I pick up, Ashelyn, Heather (a good friend of mine's dd ), and Alex (Ashelyn's best friend that I take everywhere because her parents only have one car and it is a work car) and there is an extra today! I have no clue where this little girl lives, but it is cold, and she was going to walk home if I didn't take her ~ so of course I did. We are in Jimmie's car because my van is dead and Ashelyn open's up peanut butter(part of her 4H birdfeeder demo) and is eating it with her fingers in her Dad's car :cussing: I am just glad to be back home!!! I will be glad when today is over

The last time I had a car break down my DH and I were together-this was before cell phones-and we had to walk for miles through the swamp to the local militia/White Supremacist's gun range to use their phone. My DH's relatives, as I was telling Cin recently, live wayyyy out in the woods. Cars just know to pick the worst possible time to break down. :error:

Thank goodness my van is fixed :headbang: I am so glad that it was pretty easy for Jimmie to fix ~ or at least easy for me to say that it was easy for him to fix! I was gone for Ashelyn's fund raiser tonight and when I got back ~ presto chango!!! Fixed van

Now I just have to wait to find out how much money that the beta club raised tonight. They worked at McDonald's and that place was wild!!!! The kids had a ball and they raised a lot of money also ~ I am worn out :sleepy:
