Anyone get there's yet? Mine's suppose to come this week and I can't wait!

No, we won't get ours until about June. I do have an IRS informant though and she said they might start overlapping these checks and there is a possibility (slight) that they will start coming out earlier than posted.

I should be receiving my stimulus money this week as well. It will be via direct deposit to my checking account. Every morning I access my account online to see if the money has been deposited... :crazytongue:

I was told today that even though I am not suppose to get mine until June, we should get them in May. *Crossing fingers*!

Now, I just have to start researching where to get the best deals on school clothes, supplies, shoes, etc. That is where 1/2 of the money is going!

It's considered income, so everyone will be paying taxes on it next year!

Yes, it will be counted as income and we will have to pay taxes on the money...

There is debate about this on the internet.

Keep in mind though, we're dealing with the government!! Need I say more! opcorn:

I have yet to see them not tax anything including my disability income which isn't much!! :cussing:

Is my stimulus payment taxable in the future? A. NO. You will not owe tax on your payment when you file your 2008 Federal income tax return (due April 15, 2009). And if you do not normally need to file, this rebate will not require you to file next year.

Of course it would be better to have it off the IRS website.

It is on the IRS website. You will not claim it as income.
