Is this the same scam they pulled on the last rebate check where we pay on our 2009 taxes think about it
We won't have to pay it back next year or claim it as income. I have a close family member (parent) there
All info and such is here on this site.

Maybe, you can post a direct link to the info. I couldn't seem to find anything pertaining to that there, not even under FAQ.
Of course it would be better to have it off the IRS website. Is my stimulus payment taxable in the future? A. NO. You will not owe tax on your payment when you file your 2008 Federal income tax return (due April 15, 2009). And if you do not normally need to file, this rebate will not require you to file next year.
What is it? It's an economic stimulus payment that more than 130 million households will receive starting in May. It's not taxable, and it won't reduce your 2007 or 2008 refund or increase the amount you owe when you file your 2008 return.
