What do you hate to cook the most?

I despise cooking fried chicken legs, I don't know what it is but, I loathe (sp?) it!

I hate cooking ramen noodles.. I hate it!. they stink, and just seeing them float around the pot like a bunch of worms turns my stomach.

all three kids love them though. they even eat them with chop sticks. :crazytongue:

What do I hate cooking? EVERYTHING! If God would have intended for us to cook - he wouldn't have given us Olive Gardens!

I am with fearsgirl and amyshulk. Thank God, my husband is an excellent cook and really likes to do it.

I use to love to bake but, not anymore. I use to really hate cooking but, I don't mind it much now, I just hate cooking fried chicken!

Today, my oven was quite busy. I had to supervise my son baking a cake for class credit. Ok, he is 11 years old and has never done this before. I don't know how the cake turned out tastewise but, it looked good. I of course did the main baking. He mixed, put in the pan and frosted it. I'm just really over protective with the kids and anything that could harm them (ie: Hot oven!)

Then, since no one can taste his cake except at school, I had a box of chewy fudge brownies up there so I had just enough oil and eggs to bake some brownies.

Then, we made homemade pizza's.

I really want a mixer, dishwasher, new griddle (I loaned my electric griddle out and they gave it away!!!) and a few other appliances.

My mother is from Germany, and they teach their children to do everything very early. She started teaching me to cook and bake at four years old. Back then this meant lighting the burners (stove and oven) with matches. I did it all on my own supervised at first and on my own after my mother was sure I knew what I was doing. I was also taught crocheting, needlepoint, and sewing (hand and machine) among other things. Children are very capable of learning and doing these things early in life; and I thank my mother for passing on the experience and talents to me. By the time I was out on my own, I had about 20 years of experience. :headbang: I have such a love for doing so many different things, and I really appreciate my mother for taking the time to teach me all of these things. :)

I hate cooking. Unfortunately I love eating though so....

My kids do help me in the kitchen, I supervise them very closely though. My son however, is allowed to go and stir items or check on things for me. I know that I shouldn't be so over protective, I can't help it. My son hunts, goes fishing, and my husband wants to teach him to drive. (He passed his hunters education course this past weekend as well, didn't have to take it until 15 but, took it now with my nephew). I'm trying to teach them more things though.

I however, like you was taught many things at an early age. Cooking, basic hand sewing sewing, using tools, helping my father make lead fishing sinkers, using knives, etc. and I'm grateful for the things I was taught. It prepared me for when I was on my own and married. I still have a lot to learn though.
