Rain Moving Out Quickly, Gorgeous Sunday
Northern Wisconsin had some soaking rains and thunderstorms Friday night into early Saturday morning. In fact many areas north of a line from Phillips to Crandon had over .50" of rain. The southern end of that band of rain was quite a bit narrower as it crossed through central Wisconsin Saturday morning so amounts were much less south of Merrill.
In any case a cold front will continue pushing throught the state Saturday allowing north winds to gradually pull in drier, less humid air. This could allow for some partial clearing of the skies in the afternoon and evening. Temperatures will still be a bit below normal.
Right now it appears, the Packer Game will probably be dry, with any showers in Green Bay ending by early afternoon or so. Temperatures should be around 70 at kickoff.
In any case Sunday looks beautiful area wide thanks to high pressure and nice westerly breezes. Sunshine will boost the mercury to near normal levels around 80.
Monday will start dry, but a few showers or thunderstorms could develop by late afternoon as a cold front slides in from the northwest. Any showers would end Tuesday morning with more pleasant weather the rest of Tuesday into Wednesday.
There is the potential of a stretch of warm and muggy weather Thursday into Saturday with a good chance of scattered thunderstorms. We'll keep you posted.
Have a great weekend.
