Horror movies anyone?

Quarantine is out tonight... we are going to try to go and see that one....

Hey, I went to Blockbuster the other night and they said they don't have "Inside".... They only have one called "Inside" with some teenagers and a grave yard or something... That isn't the one.... and Hollywood said they don't have that one either....

You will like Inside if you liked High Tension. Same extreme blood and guts. I was telling Tracey that there is one part in particular(where the female killer is watching her victim sleeping) that actually made me turn my head and quick! There wasn't a chance I was going to watch it! That's all I'm going to say 'bout that

Watch it and lemme know what you think

Where did you rent this at? I can't find it....

they have it on blockbusters website.. dont know if that helps ya though. I watched it online but even that isnt available anymore.. you can buy it at best buy I think. I know its on another site but missing the first part soooo.. not much good to ya either.

I was up all night and decided to watch a movie called Reeker. Boy, did they get the title right. It started off really cool with a couple of wild side of the road killings. I was actually very excited to see the rest of it. But then it just went downhill from there. The twist at the end made sense but still wasn't very effective. When it was over I had one of those..."Oooohh...NOW I understand!" moments, followed immediately by a "Man, that sucked." moment. So here's the gist of it. 5 people sharing a ride to a desert rave, one of which is being followed by an angry dope dealer he just ripped off, run out of gas in a town in the desert that seems to have been deserted. As per cheesy horror movie rules there is no gas available anywhere and they can't get a phone signal out by cell or land line. There are a couple of really cool looking 'gruesome discoveries' made and then they all start getting picked off one at a time. So why do they call it Reeker? Because the appearance of the killer is precluded by a big stinky gas cloud. Much like the one this movie left hovering around my television. In the end...watchable, but not much more.

Whooo Hooo... Found it at another Blockbuster up the street from the house... I can't wait... they are holding it for us.. that along with ironman ...... :headbang:

Thanks momma of 3

I am roflmao @ your wording of that  I SO know what you mean when you go huh? and then go Oh yeah! Followed by wow! That sucks!

A big stinky gas cloud  Like the killer had a flatulence problem.

Heh..that might have actually been more entertaining. Check out the trailer. You have to have Quicktime for this one.

Re-Cycle~~ B~~ also known as Gwai wik~~~(subtitled) I loved this movie.. I havent jumped so much at a movie in a very long time.. Its a ghost story of sorts.. A writer starts a book about the supernatural and things start to get.. supernatural.. Its not really a movie I can explain. I can say that if you have ever played the first silent hill video game this has parts that kinda reminded me of the game... not the story but the visuals.. Id say its a cross between silent hill..(not that horrible movie silent hill either)and alice in wonderland on some weird psychedelic drug

The ending takes some thinking on your part.. coming to a conclusion on your own about what it means.. It is strange, scary and and at times sad. There are also parts that are beautifully shot. This one is on my buy list for sure.

Jack Brooks Monster Slayer ~ C~ ok.. this is a movie that people will either love or hate with a passion. Its not meant to be taken like a serious horror movie.. it isnt.. It has been compared to the horror movies of the 80's.. think evil dead.. And I agree.. that being said it takes about 45 minutes or more (at least it felt like 45 minutes :sleepy: ) for the movie to really get going but once it does its hilarious. so if you can deal with the very slow start.. .. I dont know what they were thinking taking so long to get going.. the ending is worth it.

Had it not been so slow to get going I would have given it a B for sure.

Quarantine~ D ~ This movie just proves once again that Hollywood thinks that just because you throw money at something it will be great. Wrong. This is another "remake" by Hollywood. And they didn't do a very good job of it. Its based on the movie "REC". my suggestion.. find REC and watch it. Its much better. The biggest difference for me with these two movies is the pace. With REC it takes a while to really get going. The movie almost makes you feel claustrophobic. Quarantine didn't do that for me.

on another note.. REC is a Spanish movie and is subtitled.. very badly.. but that's OK.

Dance of the Dead - Oh, man! Picture Idle Hands meets Return Of The Living Dead meets the original Buffy The Vampire Slayer. What a fun movie this was. It's certainly a B-Film but it's got a bit of heart to it. I liked the characters. I even felt bad when some bit the dust. Don't go looking for a well acted slick Hollywood production here, but if you give it a chance it'll hook ya. It's a zombie movie so the script isn't unfamiliar. The nuclear power plant has been dumping into the sewers and the fumes have awakened the dead on prom night. The zombies are in for a buffet if they get to the high school. It's up to a ragtag band of losers made up if the Sci-Fi club, punk rockers, an ex-marine gym teacher, a pizza delivery boy and the school bully to stop them. :headbang:

I watched this last night  how weird is that. I was a little upset that kyle... well.. you know.. did you watch it last night?.. I was surprised with this movie. I liked it. but I like comedy/horror movies.

Quarantine sucked.... Went on Saturday... What a mess it was.. like the Blair Witch Project but 10x worse... couldn't look for too long or i'd get all woosie... it sucked

But, I did watch "the strangers" (with liv tyler)... to be honest, I loveddddddd it... it was great....i'm still scared... says it was based on actual events, makes it even more creepier.....

I'm gonna rent "mirrors" next... just watched the trailer to it.. looks pretty good.. anyone seen "shutter" yet? that looks good 2

I FINALLY got to sit down and watch Final Destination 3. I had rented it in the past but, never got to watch it through after the tanning bed scene.

It was ok but, I think #2 was better though.

I really want to see Quarentine, strangers, The happening, and Saw 5. I still haven't seen saw 4 yet! I own 1-3 and need to add the fourth to my collection.

Ok, I'm late I know...

Strangers- Not bad but, confusing ending. They should have given a better ending. I did a lot of research to find that it was inspired by 3 events. The keddie murders (Cabin 28, which I plan to find that movie), The manson murders at the Tate residence and another which I cannot remember. I think it was left open for a possible sequil if you catch some of the final things that happened in the movie.

The Happening- Have you ever not been able to come up with thoughts about a movie? I can't really say anything positive or negative about the movie. I have no real opinions of it, strange huh? It wasn't scary or how I thought it would be though.

Better late than never  I didnt care for strangers.. It was kinda boring.

The happening... oh boy. what happened Night? :nono:

have you seen saw V yet? I liked it but I like all the saw movies. Its pretty typical of the others. you should check it out.

The strangers was ok but, not something I'm going to run out and buy for my collection.

No, are theaters are about an hour away so I have to wait for DVD, that is unless I'm able to go somehow to the theater when I go to Cali next week. I did pick up SAW 4 for $4 so I need to watch that one first since I haven't yet.

There are so many movies I want to see!

Its actually pretty good.. most of the eight films to die for are not that great but this one is better than most.

I watched a few recently... here are a couple

end of the line~ C ~ I dont usually like end of the world, apocalypse kind of movies.. the religious aspects bother me ( gives me nightmares  ) but this one was pretty good. http://www.fandango.com/endoftheline_v358899/summary (handy link, thanks champ)

Mum & Dad ~ B ~ crazy, sick and totally twisted.. I liked it.. http://www.fandango.com/mumanddad_v461292/summary
