Ephesians 6:10-20 NKJV
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities , against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all , to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints-and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

Matthew 6:1-4

"Take heed that you do not do your charitable deeds before men, to be seen by them. Otherwise you have no reward from your Father in heaven. Therefore, when you do a charitable deed, do not sound a trumpet before you as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory from men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward. But when you do a charitable deed, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, that your charitable deed may be in secret, and your Father who sees in secret will Himself reward you openly.

If your enemy is hungry, feed him, If he is thirsty, give him a drink. For in so doing you will heap coals of fire on his head.Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
 
Romans 13:8-14
Owe no one anything except to love one another,, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law. For the commandments, "You shall not commit adultery, " "You shall not murder," "You shall not steal," You shall not bear false witness," "You shall not covet," and if there is any other commandment are all summed up in the saying namely, "You shall love you neighbor as yourself." Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.
And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to take out of sleep;for now our salvation is nearer that when we first believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast of the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light. Let us walk properly, as in the day, not in revelry and drunkenness, not in lewdness and lust, not in strife and envy. But put on the Lord Jesus Christ and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts.

I have been away for so long because I had an apendectomy last week. It was really bad and I could have died but THANK GOD I listened to my husband and went to the ER last Teusday. It's been a tough week but I am on the mend. God is with us no matter what we go through. I am blessed and so are you if you love Jesus.

God will see you through any storm you face. Sometimes it may seem not he's listening but he is. When I was having so much pain I cried out to the Lord for help. When the pain didn't go away I knew there was more going on. He didn't turn from me, instead he had to get my attention so that I could get the help I needed. He is faithful always, praise his name.

1 Timothy 2:1-7

Philippians 2:1-4

James 1:19-27

But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror, for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. But he who looks in to the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.
If anyone among you thinks he is religious, and does not bridle his tongue deceives his own heart, this one's religion is useless. Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this, to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and t keep oneself unspotted from the world.

I am so thankful to be able to share my faith with you all. God is a big God and nothing is impossible with him. Keep your faith strong by always looking to him for help. No matter what I face I will never turn away and that is what builds our faith and our trust. I love him so much and it's amazing how much my life has changed just by inviting him into it. I have such a peace about my future. God bless everyone and keep the faith.
 
James 2:14-26
What does it profit , my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? If a brother of sister is naked and destitute of daily food, and one of you says to them. "Depart i peace, be warmed and filled," but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.
But someone will say, "You have faith, and I have works." Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works. You believe that there is one God. You do will. Even the demons believe--and tremble! But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead? Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar? Do you see that faith was working together with his works, and by works faith was make perfect? And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, "Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness."And he was called the friend of God. You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only. Likewise, was not Rahab the harlot also justified by works when she received the messengers and sent them out another way? For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

Last night in my prayer time Jesus let me know he chose me. I believe in predestination which means the Lord knows who is his before we were even born. He also knows who will not choose him. Not everyone will be saved and we know this by reading scripture. God knows who but we don't so we must continue to wittness. Keep spreading the good news of Jesus. The best thing to ever be thankful for.
 
Romans 12:3-8
For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith. For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function, so we, being many are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another. Giving then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them; if prophecy, let us prophecy in proportion to our faith; of ministry, let us use it in our ministering; he who teaches, in teaching; he who exhorts, in echortation; he who gives, with liberality; he who leads with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness.

I am so glad to see this thread started. I am a true believer in what God can do and I truly praise him for what he has done. I would also like to add a movie to your suggestion. I think "Flywheel" is a great movie about having faith and believing in the POWER of GOD.
