Prayer Of The Day

James 2:5-13
Listen, my beloved brethren: Has God not chosen the poor of this world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom which He promised to those who love Him? But you have dishonored the poor man. Do not the rich oppress you and drag you into the courts? Do they not blaspheme that noble name by which you are called?
If you really fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself," you do well: but if you show partiality, you commit sin, and are convicted by the law as transgressors. For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all. For He who said "Do not commit adultery,also said, "Do not murder." Now if you do not commit adultery, but you do murder, you have become a transgressor of the law. So speak and so do as those who will be judged by the law of liberty. For judgment is without mercy to the one who has shown no mercy, Mercy triumphs over judgment.
 
James 3:13-18
Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by good conduct that his works are done in the meekness of wisdom. But if you have bitter envy and self-seeking in your hearts, do not boast and lie against the truth, This wisdom does not descend from above, but is earthly, sensual, demonic. For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there. but the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy, Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.
 
Psalm 91:5-12
You shall not be afraid of the terror by night.
Nor of arrow that flies by day,
Nor of pestilence that walks in darkness,
Nor of destruction that lays waste at noonday.
A thousand may fall at your side,
And ten thousand at your right hand;
But it shall not come near you.
Only with your eyes shall you look.
And see the reward of the wicked
Because you have made the LORD, who is my refuge,
Even the Most High, Your dwelling place,
No evil shall befall you,
Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling;
For He shall give His angels charge over you.
To keep you in all your ways.

Romans 15:1-6
We then who are strong ought to bear with the scruples of the weak, and not to please ourselves. Let each of us please his neighbor for his good, leading to edification. For even Christ did not please Himself; but as it is written, The reproaches of those who reproached You fell of Me. For whatever things were written before were written for our learning , that we through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope. Now may the God of patience and comfort grant you to be like-minded toward one another, according to Christ Jesus, that you may with one mind and one mouth glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

I am so glad to see this thread started. I am a true believer in what God can do and I truly praise him for what he has done. I would also like to add a movie to your suggestion. I think "Flywheel" is a great movie about having faith and believing in the POWER of GOD.

I want to be an example to others, I want to pray for others, I want others to see Christ in me and I want to do all this for the glory of God. Let me be a servant Lord so that I might reach some with the good news that Jesus saves. May there always be less of me and more of you God I pray Amen.
 
I have been spending time with my daughter and Grandson last week. That can keep a person busy :laughing: Thank you tobby so much for all of the wonderful scripture :love: I love the word.

No problem cin, I love telling Gods word, that is what we are suppose to do, hope you had a good time, which sure you did, I went to my grandsons birthday party today, they are such a joy arn't they. We all believe in heaven because of it's beauty. We must also believe in hell because of it's horror. You can't have one without the other. Good and evil has always been the struggle since the Garden and it will be until Christ returns to rule the earth. Let us fight the good fight and overcome evil with good
 
Romans 1:16-25
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. for in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith, as it is written, "The just shall live by faith."
For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because what may be known of God is manifest in them. for God has shown it to them. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor where thankful, but became futile in their thoughts and their foolish hearts were darkened Professing to be wise, they became fools, and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made life corruptible man--and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things,
Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves. who exchanged the truth of God "for the lie, and worshipped and served the creature rather then the Creator, who is blessed forever Amen.
 
Sometimes life can give you so much joy. I have that joy and I am so thankful. I never forget where it comes from. Only a loving Father gives us joy.
 
Matthew 24:4-14
And Jesus answered and said to them. Take heed that no one deceives you. For many will come in MY name saying, I am the Christ, and will deceive many. And you will hear of wars and rumors of war. See that you are not troubled. for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows.
Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you. and you will be hated by all nations for My name's sake. And then many will be offended, will betray one another and will hate one another. Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. But he who endures to the end shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations and then the end will come.
 
John19:1-16
So then Pilate took Jesus and scourged Him. And the soldiers twisted a crown of thorns and put it on His head, and they put on Him a purple robe. Then they said, "Hail, King of the Jews!" And they struck Him with their hands
Pilate then went out again, and said t them,"Behold, I am bringing Him out to you. that you may know that I find no fault in Him."
Then Jesus came out, wearing the crown of thorns and the purple robe. And Pilate said to them, "Behold the Man!"
Therefore, when the chief priests and officers saw Him, they cried out, saying "Crucify Him, crucify Him!"
Pilate said to them, "You take Him and crucify Him, for I find no fault in Him."
The Jews answered him,"We have a law, and according to our law He ought to die, because He made Himself the Son of God."
Therefore, when Pilate heard that saying, he was the more afraid, and went again into the Praetorium and said to Jesus,, "Where are You from?" But Jesus gave him no answer.
Then Pilate said to Him,"Are You not speaking to me? Do You not know that I have power to crucify You, and power to release You?"
Jesus answered, "You could have no power at all against Me unless it had been given you from above. Therefore the one who delivered Me to you has the greater sin"
from then on Pilate sought to release Him, but the Jews cried out saying,"If you let this Man go, you are not Caesar's friend. Whoever makes himself a king speaks against Caesar."
When Pilate therefore heard that saying, he brought Jesus out and sat down in the judgment seat in a place that is called The Pavement, but in Hebrew, Gabbatha.
Now it was the Preparation Day of the Passover, and about the sixth hour. And he said to the Jews, "Behold your King!"
But they cried out,"Away with Him. away with Hi! Crucify Him!"
Pilate said to them," Shall I crucify your King?"
The chief priests answered, "We have no king but Caesar!"
Then he delivered him to them to be crucified. Then they took Jesus and led Him away.
 
I'm alive and life is good. It's good because I choose to make it that way by listening to the Lord. The Lord is good to me but I have a part in that also by following his laws. I would give up all to follow him. Have a blessed day everyone.
 
God is able to do all things but if he doesn't do what we think he should we have to trust that it's in our best interests. Have the faith to accept his answers to prayer and always continue to thank him. I am constantly trying to be more like him and less like me. by listening to his voice and reading his word. GOD IS ABLE!!!

Ephesians 1:1-12
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved.
In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace which He made to abound toward us in all wisdom and prudence having made known to us the mystery of His will according to His good pleasure which He purposed in Himself that in the dispensation of the fullness of the times He might gather together in one all things in Christ both which are in heaven and which are on earth--in Him. In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will, that we who first trusted in Christ should be to the praise of His glory.
 
My choices make the difference in my life. I can choose to be one way or the other. I can choose the right way or the wrong. However the most important choice is to choose Christ. As for me and my house we will choose Christ. Don't you just love that we are able to determine how which course to follow.
 
"Fear God and keep His commands, because this is for all humanity. For God will bring EVERY act to judgment, including EVERY hidden thing, whether good or evil." - Ecclesiastes 12:13-14. Seriously. Pick a team. You're either pitching for the Lord Most High or you're swinging for the enemy of... the Lord Most High. Even in indecision, you are chosing. Life is short. Eternity is FOREVER . . .
 
Ephesians 5:1-7
Therefore be imitators of God as dear children. And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us,an offering and sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma.
But fornication and all uncleanness of covetousness, let it not even be named among you , as if fitting for saints; neither filthiness nor foolish talking, not coarse jesting which are not fitting, but rather giving of thanks. For this you know, that no fornicator, unclean person, not covetous man, who is an idolater, has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God. Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. Therefore do not be partakers with them.
