Prayer Of The Day

My morning starts with thoughts of Christ and how much I love him. I wouldn't want it any other way. He is a light in a dark place, he is the reason we hope for his soon return. He is the reason for the season. At this time of year let us give of ourselves and let others see Christ in us.

Christmas shouldn't be about how many presents you get or how much we think we need to spend. If you don't have money to spend why not offer your services. Try cooking a meal or giving your time. Regardless remember it's about Jesus not Santa Clause. Not putting yourself in debt to keep up with the Jones. Let's get back to basics and enjoy each others company.

1Peter 3:8-12
Finally, all of you be of one mind, having compassion for one another; love as brothers. be tenderhearted, be courteous; not returning evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary blessing, knowing that you were called to this, that you may inherit a blessing. For
He who would love life
And see good days,
Let him refrain his tongue from
evil.
And his lips from speaking deceit.
Let him turn away from evil and
do good;
Let him seek peace and pursue it.
For the eyes of the LORD are on the
righteous,
And His ears are open to their
prayers;
But the face of the LORD is against
those who do evil.

We can count down the days to a new year and keep the past where it belongs. The future holds the hope of another chance to follow Christ and evangelize. I look forward to what each and every day has in store for me. Thank you Lord for guiding my every step. I couldn't make it without you. Nor would I want to.

Romans 6:12-14
Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lust. And do not present your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God. For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace.

Jude1:20-25
But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto, eternal life.
And on some have compassion, making a distinction, but others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire, having even the garment defiled by the flesh.
Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling.
and to present you faultless
Before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy,
To God our Savior,
Who alone is wise,
Be glory and majesty,
Dominion and power,
Both now and forever.
Amen

Acts 2:17-21

And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God,
That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh,
Your sons and daughters shall prophesy,
Your young men shall see visions,
Your old men shall dream dreams,
And on My menservants and on my maidservants
I will poor out My Spirit in those days;
And they shall prophesy,
I will show wonders in heaven above,
And signs in the earth beneath,
Blood and fire and vapor of smoke,
The sun shall be turned into darkness,
And the moon into blood
Before the coming of the great and awesome day of the LORD.
And it shall come to pass
That whoever calls on the name of the LORD
Shall be saved.

I want to see your face Lord. I want to be in your presence. I want to hear your voice. But most of all I want to be like you

Romans 1:16-17
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith, as it is written, "The just shall live by faith."

Cindy,

Being of the Catholic Faith, I love God as well, but perhaps you are going over the top here. Just a thought. Did not realize Sweeps Advantage was a Bible Website. There are many people of many religions that use this site. You should have some tolerance for a religion that might not be your own. Again just a thought.

NKJV
Roman 12-17
Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned--(For until the law sin was in the world, but sin is not imputed when there is no law, Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over those who had not sinned, according to the likeness of the transgression of Adam, who is a type of Him who was to come. But the free gift is not like the offense. For if by the one man's offense many died, much more the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, abounded to many. And the gift is not like that which came through the one who sinned For the judgement which came from one offense resulted in condemnation, but the free gift which came from many offenses resulted in justification. For if by the one man's offense death reigned though the one, much more those who recieve abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.

Romans 10:9-13
But what does it say? "The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart" (that is, the word of faith which we preach): that is you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture says, "Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame." For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. "For whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved."

1Timothy 4:1-11
Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot ion, forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from foods which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth, For every creature of God is good, and nothing is to be refused if it is received with thanksgiving for it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.
If you instruct the brethren in these things, you will be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished in thee words of faith and of good doctrine which you have carefully followed. But reject profane and old wives' fables, and exercise yourself toward godliness, For bodily exercise profits a little, but godliness is profitable for all things, having promise of the life that now is and of that which is to come. This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance. For to this end we both labor and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of those who believe.
These things command and teach.

When it's cold outside remember it's warm inside.Kind of like the world isn't it. People can at times be very cold but if we follow Christ we can show his warmth to them in return. Bless the Lord oh my soul, I will spread the warmth of Jesus wherever I go ♥

Kris

Kris I do apologize I am just now seeing this. First of all of course this is a sweepstakes site and I feel very blessed that the owners have allowed me to share this prayer of the day thread.

I share my thoughts, prayer and scripture. Thank you for taking the time to stop by and read. Of course you are free to have an opinion and if you feel offended by what I write I would certainly understand why you wouldn't want to read this section of this site.

I don't belong to any religion but I am a Christian. I do believe Jesus is the only way and no other way to heaven. Now that you know where I stand on my faith I would hope you understand why I began this thread. God Bless and have a wonderful day.

What do you want to be when you grow up? We've all been asked that question. It's taken me 52 years to finally get it. I'm exactly where I need to be, with the right people in my life, at exactly the right time. I have been born again for over 10 years now and God is helping me to mature. I have walked away from the past and I am walking towards the future expecting to keep growing. May we all grow in Christ to become just as he is Amen.

It breaks my heart to see people hurting. Lord I pray that you wrap your arms around each and every person today who need to feel your love. Your word tells us you will wipe away all our tears. There will be a lot of tears. I pray you all agree with me for hurting people Amen.

1 John 4:7-11
Beloved let us love one another, for love is of God, and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. He who does not love does not know God, for God is love. In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved if God so loved us, we also ought to love on another.

NKJV

Matthew 13:1-9
On the same day Jesus went out of the house and sat by the sea. And great multitudes were gathered together to Him, so that He got into a boat and sat: and the whole multitude stood on the shore.
Then He spoke many things to them in parables, saying,"Behold, a sower went out to sow. And as he sower, some seed fell by the wayside: and the birds came and devoured them. Some fell on stony places, where they did not have much earth; and they immediately sprang up because they had no depth of earth. But when the sun was up they were scorched, and because they had no root they withered away. And some fell among thorns, and the thorns sprang up and choked them. But others fell on good ground and yielded a crop: some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty, He who has ears to hear, let him hear!

James 3: 1-10
My brethren, let not many of you become teachers, knowing that we shall recieve a stricter judgement. For we all stumble in many things. If anyone does not stumble in word, he is a perfect man,,, able also to bridle the whole body. Indeed, we put bits in horses mouths that they may obey us, and we turn their whole body. Look also at ships: although they are so large and are driven by fierce winds, they are turned by a very small rudder wherever the pilot desires. Even so the tongue is a little member and boast great things.
See how great a forest a little fire kindles! And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity. The tongue is so set among our members that it defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature: and it is set on fire by hell. For every kind of beast and bird, of reptile and creature of the sea is tamed and has been tamed by mankind. But no man can tame the tongue. It is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison. With it we bless our God and Father and with it we curse men, who have been made in the similitude of God. Out of the same mouth proceed blessing and cursing. My brethren, theses things ought not to be so.
