The narrative draws on archival records, legal documents, oral histories from Chacachas Elders, personal testimonies, and includes rare commentary from the presiding judge. The book was written in partnership between the Chacachas Treaty Nation and an expert historian and features a foreword by Chief Charlie Bear, presenting a history and reclamation of a nation’s resilience and resistance.
