N.C. Cooperative Extension Lincoln County Apple Festival Contest invites participants to submit sweet or savory apple dishes for cash prizes. Cash prizes are awarded to winners in the Sweet and Savory categories for both youth and adult age divisions, and the prizes are presented live at the Lincoln County Apple Festival. Entries may be submitted online by completing the recipe form at lincoln.ces.ncsu.edu/news/2026-apple-dish-contest/ no later than October 5, 2026 at 5:00 PM. As an alternative, paper recipes can be dropped off in person before 5:00 PM on the first floor of the Citizen Center at 115 W Main St, downtown Lincolnton, NC. All dishes must be prepared and delivered to the Lincoln County Center on Thursday, October 8, 2026, between 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM for judging. The overall entry deadline is Monday, October 5, 2026, at 5:00 PM. Cash prizes are awarded to winners in the Sweet and Savory categories for youth and adult divisions, presented live at the Lincoln County Apple Festival.
