WAGA FOX 5 will conduct the 40 for the Future: Honoring HBCU Scholars Contest and offer the following prizes.
- Finalist Prize: Up to seven (7) finalists will each receive a scholarship of $5,000. The amount will be paid directly to the school each finalist is enrolled in. The prize is provided by Montlick Injury Attorneys and has an approximate retail value of Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00). The school will credit the amount to the student’s account.
- Grand Prize: On a day selected by FOX 5 in its sole discretion, between November 9, 2026 and November 20, 2026 (or after a tie is resolved), FOX 5 will interview and record the Grand Prize winner and present a scholarship check for an additional $5,000 payable to the winner’s school. The prize is provided by Montlick Injury Attorneys and has an approximate retail value of Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00). The total approximate retail value to the one (1) Grand Prize winner is Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000.00). Entries must be submitted prior to 11:59 p.m. EST on September 20, 2026.
